Hard to Find Books is a New Zealand secondhand bookshop specialising in books that are rare, collectible, antiquarian, unusual or simply enjoyable to read. With stores in Dunedin and Auckland and a substantial online catalogue, the business offers a wide-ranging selection, from old hardbacks and modern first editions to affordable paperbacks, signed books and specialist titles. Its stock spans many subjects and interests, with new listings added daily. Online-listed books are held in Dunedin, while additional stock is available in the shops and storage facilities, so customers are encouraged to get in touch before visiting to view a particular title.
Hard to Find Books buys and sells books, welcoming enquiries about single pre-loved volumes as well as private libraries, estates and larger collections. The shop also offers gift vouchers and ships orders throughout New Zealand and overseas, with standard and express delivery options. Whether serving dedicated collectors or readers searching for a specific book, Hard to Find Books aims to provide an extensive selection and helpful service.
