Harford Humane is a renowned brand that has been dedicated to the welfare and well-being of animals since 1946. As a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization, they have a mission to promote the humane treatment of homeless, stray, and abandoned animals. Their vision is to end pet overpopulation and advocate for the humane treatment of animals.

Harford Humane is an open-admission shelter that accepts every Harford County animal brought to their doors, providing shelter, care, adoptions, and community education. They subscribe to the Five Freedoms, ensuring that the animals under their care are free from hunger, discomfort, pain, injury, fear, and distress. As the sole facility for the care and treatment of animals in Harford County, they play a vital role in rehabilitating animals found as strays or seized by animal control.

Harford Humane relies on the charitable support of their friends, including volunteers, fosters, and generous supporters, to continue their lifesaving work. Join Harford Humane in their efforts to create a better world for animals by supporting their mission and providing a loving home for an animal in need
