Harm Reduction Michigan is a health equity and recovery community organization serving people across Michigan who are affected by addiction and drug use. Its mission is to reduce substance use-related harms respectfully and collaboratively, while supporting positive change through abstinence, moderation, or safer use. The organization works to address stigma-driven trauma and encourage more responsive approaches in drug treatment, mental health care, and related social services.

Its services include free, harm reduction-focused support at drop-in locations, with overdose prevention and naloxone, safer substance use guidance, HIV and infection prevention, and referrals to substance use disorder treatment. Harm Reduction Michigan also provides training and consultation for organizations and professionals on topics such as syringe access, overdose response, prescription medicines, and emerging substance use trends. To expand access to overdose-reversal medication, it maintains naloxone boxes available around the clock at community sites throughout Michigan. In addition, the organization promotes public discussion of practical strategies to reduce drug-related harms.
