Harrison Little League is a volunteer-driven baseball program located in Harrison, co-sponsored by the Harrison Recreation Department. The league offers a positive and constructive environment for children to develop their baseball skills. Starting with kindergarten children, the program utilizes the tee-ball concept for instructional development and continues to enhance their skills as they progress through the program.
The league evaluates each child's ability and places them on teams based on their grade, skill, and league age. Participants are expected to attend both scheduled games and practices, as baseball is a team sport that requires commitment. Excused absences are accepted, but individuals who miss more than 25% of practices or 10% of scheduled games may be dropped from the league.
As the child progresses, the skill level required increases, necessitating a stronger commitment from both parent and child. Registration fees contribute to the cost of equipment, uniforms, and insurance. Harrison Little League operates as a volunteer organization, relying on the time and effort of its members to ensure the program's success.
With the dedication of volunteer coaches, parents and children can enjoy a well-organized activity that promotes skill development, discipline, and teamwork
