Harthill Cookery School is a cookery and barbecue school set in a restored Victorian village school in the Cheshire countryside, alongside the Peckforton Hills. Located near Tattenhall, it offers a welcoming, tranquil setting for people to learn, cook and enjoy food. Led by chef Brian Mellor and supported by a team of tutors, the school runs more than 40 courses for a range of interests and experience levels.

Its programme covers practical cooking skills and a wide variety of cuisines and techniques. Courses include bread, pastry, baking, seasonal menus, world cooking, seafood and meat, as well as sessions focused on spices, sauces and kitchen skills. Outdoor options include barbecue classes, wood-fired oven cooking, fire-pit sessions and courses at the Weber Grill Academy. The school also offers activities for young cooks and corporate and team events. Gift vouchers are available for people wishing to give a course as a present. Harthill Cookery School welcomes participants from across the North West, including nearby Chester and North Wales, and invites guests to come and cook.
