HART NM

The Homeless Animal Rescue Team of New Mexico (HART NM) is Valencia County's leading animal rescue organization, dedicated to promoting and practicing the No-Kill philosophy since 1996. HART NM plays a crucial role in addressing local and state-wide animal welfare issues, including running a No-Kill Shelter and offering a Foster Home Program. The organization also provides a Spay and Neuter Assistance Program, working tirelessly to reduce pet overpopulation.

HART NM emphasizes education through multimedia projects aimed at all ages, fostering a better understanding of animal guardianship and environmental care. Their mission encompasses the recovery and safe management of neglected, abused, and homeless animals, not just within Valencia County but across New Mexico. The organization's Board of Directors collaborates with various stakeholders to enhance animal welfare initiatives, ensuring that every life is valued. By volunteering or fostering, community members can make a significant impact by saving lives and promoting the well-being of animals in their areas. Join HART NM in their mission to create a compassionate community for all animals.
