About HASEDERA
Hasedera Temple, located in Kamakura, is renowned as the "Temple of Flowers" throughout the year. The temple is famous for its main deity, an 9. 18m tall wooden statue of Eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva, the largest of its kind in Japan.
As the fourth temple of the Bando Kannon Pilgrimage, Hasedera Temple has been a place of worship and reverence since ancient times. The temple's grounds, extending from the foothills of Mount Kannon, are known as the "Western Pure Land of Kamakura," where a variety of flowers bloom seasonally to delight visitors' hearts. Offering panoramic views of the sea and cityscape of Kamakura, the temple provides a serene setting for visitors to explore and experience the spiritual essence of this sacred place.
