We aim to enhance this magical place by transforming our national park into a veritable Wondergarden to be explored in open safari G-jeeps and on foot. Everything we do, from the food we serve to the experiences we offer, aligns perfectly with the local culture and environment. The Gabriels have been running Hatari Lodge and Shu’mata Camp for 22 years. Hatari, inside Arusha National Park, has a rich history with the Maasai and Meru peoples, including Margarete Trappe, Hardy Kruger, and the Mallory family, before they began in 2003 with the birth of their son Donyo. In the footsteps of elephants: The elephant migration corridors linking Amboseli, Kilimanjaro, and Enduimet enhance biodiversity and support pollinators. The sanctuary is home to 10 super tuskers and various African Savannah wildlife, monitored by Maasai guides which enrich guest-elephant interactions. Off the beaten path.
