About Hatzalah of Baltimore
Hatzalah of Baltimore, also known as The Alvin S. Mintzes Hatzalah of Baltimore, is an independent, non-profit volunteer organization that is dedicated to providing quick, professional, and expert emergency care to the Northwest Baltimore community. Since its establishment in 2006, Hatzalah has grown to a team of over 75 volunteers, including emergency medical responders, dispatchers, and state-of-the-art transport units.
They prioritize arriving on-scene in less than 3 minutes, recognizing that every second counts in emergency situations. Hatzalah plays a vital role in Baltimore, responding to approximately 2,000 calls per year, including a wide range of medical emergencies. Their responders are licensed or certified by the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS), ensuring the highest level of care.
As the Baltimore community continues to grow, Hatzalah is constantly expanding its catchment area and seeking new volunteers. They are available 24/7, 365 days a year, and rely on the support of the community to continue their life-saving work. You can assist by making a donation or becoming a corporate sponsor.
