Haugaland Flyklubb

Haugaland Flyklubb is a local aviation club based at Haugesund Airport, Karmøy, with roots dating back to 1975. Since 1 January 2025, it has brought together the former Haugaland Flyklubb and Haugaland Seilflyklubb under one name. The club covers powered flying, gliding and flight simulation, welcoming people interested in aviation for recreation or training.

Its flight school provides the practical training component for the LAPL(A) and PPL(A) private pilot licences, as well as the SPL glider pilot licence. These qualifications can support recreational flying and, for those who wish to continue, may be extended toward commercial pilot training. Newcomers can book an introductory flight with an instructor to experience flying before deciding whether to pursue lessons. The club also offers membership to people in the Haugaland region and provides resources for students and pilots, including guidance on flight bookings, pricing, procedures, flight logging and licence renewals. Members can access information about the aircraft fleet, training milestones and club activities, including meetings and aviation events.
