Domaine des Hautes Prairies is a small, family-run dog-breeding kennel in Baillou, in the Loir-et-Cher region of France. The family has bred Newfoundland dogs for more than 20 years and also raises Havanese Bichons. Both breeds are cared for as part of family life, with access to the home and outdoor play areas.
The kennel breeds black and brown Newfoundlands and Havanese, and offers puppies for reservation when litters are available. Puppies are registered with the French Book of Origins (LOF), identified by microchip, given their first vaccinations and examined by a veterinarian before leaving. Buyers receive a health certificate and practical guidance for caring for their puppy.
The kennel also provides information about the breeds and welcomes visitors by appointment. Its Newfoundland breeding females undergo hip and elbow X-rays and cystinuria testing, and stud dog Orion is available for mating, with examinations reported as validated. The Havanese are described as playful, affectionate and sociable, while Newfoundlands are valued for their gentle, calm nature
