Haven is an upcoming social platform designed to give creators and audiences a safer, fairer alternative to services such as Instagram and YouTube. Its stated mission is to protect users from invasive surveillance, reduce algorithm-driven censorship, and help artists defend their work from unauthorized AI training. Haven plans to automatically modify uploaded images and video to resist facial recognition and apply protections intended to disrupt AI art scraping, using the Mist tool.

The platform also aims to offer a reverse-chronological feed and a transparent recommendation system, alongside clearer rules and fewer unexplained shadowbans or demonetizations. To make switching easier, Haven says it will help users transfer posts and publication dates from other platforms and, where requested, recreate their following lists. Its planned creator-support model combines platform compensation with user-funded tips, including rewards for helping categorize content and identify rule-breaking or AI-generated posts. Haven also says it will work to detect AI content and promote healthier social-media use.
