Havet i skolan is a comprehensive educational initiative designed for teachers to impart knowledge about the ocean to students. It offers a wealth of high-quality, classroom-ready teaching materials, including films, tips, and inspiration for engaging lessons that can bring ocean studies to life. The initiative features various programs, such as Upptäckarna, which encourages students to explore water through field studies and experiments, fostering curiosity and observational skills.

Havet i skolan emphasizes the importance of “havsmmedvetenhet” (ocean awareness), educating students on how the ocean influences life on Earth and the impact of human activities on marine ecosystems. The curriculum is supplemented with captivating series like “Det fantastiska havet” and “Havets årstider,” showcasing unique marine life and the seasonal changes in ocean environments.

By connecting students with local waters and facilitating hands-on experiences, Havet i skolan aims to nurture the next generation of ocean stewards, ensuring they understand the significance of preserving marine biodiversity for a sustainable future.
