Havsans

Havsans ApS develops and operates solar-powered monitoring buoys that make oceanographic data more accessible, reliable and affordable for research, industry and public authorities. Designed for year-round deployment in seas, fjords and coastal waters, the buoys measure oxygen, conductivity and temperature every 30 minutes and transmit readings over mobile networks to an online data platform. Sensors can be positioned at multiple depths, with additional sensor options available to suit project needs. Solar panels and batteries support continuous operation, while navigation lights and IALA-compliant marking help make the buoy visible at sea. The lightweight buoy and anchoring rig can be deployed from an ordinary workboat.

Havsans offers support throughout a monitoring campaign, including measurement planning, sensor selection and calibration, deployment, data access, optional maintenance and equipment retrieval. Customers can also request data integration with their own systems or platforms. At the end of a campaign, Havsans can provide a measurement report covering collected data, processing, sensor performance and an assessment of the project.
