Hayner Burgfest is a medieval festival held at Burg Hayn and in the historic old town of Dreieichenhain, Germany. It brings together medieval-history enthusiasts and families for an immersive cultural event. The 2026 festival is scheduled for September 11–13 under the theme “Knights, Heroes and Tower Legends.” Its setting showcases the town’s historic architecture, while the programme highlights the 950th anniversary of the tower castle.

Visitors can explore the Herrenborn medieval market, first documented 488 years ago, where nearly one hundred craftspeople, traders and tavern keepers create a lively marketplace. Entertainment includes musicians, jugglers, acrobats, actors and concerts, with performances at venues such as the open-air stage, market stage, tournament grounds, keep and pond stage. The programme also features historical talks, workshops, craft demonstrations, children’s activities, an archery tournament and camp displays. Hayner Burgfest brings together heritage, performance and hands-on experiences, inviting visitors to discover medieval culture in a distinctive historic setting.
