HBV Beatrix

Handboog Vereniging Beatrix, also known as HBV Beatrix, is an archery club that welcomes people of all ages and abilities. The club presents archery as a sport for everyone, from beginners to experienced competitors, and says it can be learned by people aged 10 to 110. Success depends more on technique and concentration than physical strength, while awareness of personal condition and surroundings also matters.

Members participate at different levels and in various disciplines. Most shoot recreationally, while some compete at a high level and have achieved strong results nationally. Archery is primarily an individual sport, with each archer responsible for their own performance, but members can also shoot in teams, where collective scores contribute to the result. The club values both competitive achievements and personal progress, especially when a member improves a personal record.

Beatrix’s website offers information about modern archery, the sport’s history and how to get started. It also features club news, a calendar, articles, conduct guidance and links to archery organisations and other clubs.
