Health Care Association of Michigan

The Health Care Association of Michigan (HCAM) is a professional association representing Michigan’s skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and assisted living providers. Its membership includes proprietary and not-for-profit facilities, county medical care facilities, hospital-based providers, homes for the aged, adult foster care settings, and independent senior living communities. Since 1948, HCAM has worked to advance excellence in senior care by driving initiatives and delivering solutions for providers.

HCAM supports its members through government advocacy, professional education, regulatory guidance, and practical resources. Its offerings include leadership workshops, webinars, medication-management training, and certification and renewal programs for assisted living directors. Members can access information on Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, reimbursement, quality initiatives, workforce issues, and legal and regulatory matters. The association also provides survey assistance, communications, member directories, vendor engagement opportunities, and events such as its annual convention and legislative day. Through its public-facing care directory, HCAM helps people search for long-term care in Michigan.
