HCAT+ e. V. | Hamburg Centre of Aviation Training-Lab is a development network aimed at providing a comprehensive education and training in the civil aviation industry in the Hamburg metropolitan region.

As the third largest global hub for the aviation industry, Hamburg boasts over 40,000 employees, thanks to major companies like Airbus, Lufthansa Technik, and Hamburg Airport, as well as 300 suppliers and local educational institutions. HCAT+ serves as the interface between education, research, business, and the city of Hamburg, in close collaboration with Hamburg Aviation, the aviation cluster. Our mission is to showcase the diverse paths to a career in aviation, inspiring young people to pursue aviation-related professions.

We design innovative educational paths, formats, and infrastructures to promote a competitive and forward-thinking aviation industry. Furthermore, we provide support to small and medium-sized enterprises in the Hamburg metropolitan region, facilitating sustainable workforce development. As the coordinating body for Personnel and Qualification within Hamburg Aviation, we function as the platform for collective efforts towards shared goals.
