About HCEA Canada
HCEA Canada is a dedicated non-profit organization that has been preserving Canadian construction history since its formation in 1996. Located at the Simcoe County Museum, HCEA showcases a rich collection of antique construction equipment, memorabilia, and educational demonstrations. The highlight of their collection is the "Combined Fleet," which features an impressive array of historical artifacts ranging from horse-drawn equipment of the early 1900s to steam shovels and diesel machines from the mid-20th century.
HCEA Canada actively engages the community through special events that allow visitors to see this historic machinery in action. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, explore static displays, and witness live demonstrations in designated zones throughout the museum grounds. The organization also offers educational outreach programs to engage younger audiences with interactive exhibits and hands-on activities.
With a commitment to restoration and preservation, HCEA Canada continues to celebrate the rich legacy of Canadian construction while fostering a deeper appreciation for the engineering feats of the past.
