HCST. jo, also known as the Higher Council For Science And Technology, is a public independent institution established in 1987 in Jordan. As a national umbrella for all science and technology activities in the country, its main objective is to build a strong science and technology base that contributes to the achievement of development goals.

The council focuses on increasing awareness of the importance of scientific research and development, providing necessary funding, and directing research activities in accordance with national priorities and development orientations. Under the leadership of HRH Prince El Hassan Bin Talal, the council plays a crucial role in the establishment of specialized research and development centers and supports innovation and entrepreneurship. Their aim is to transform scientific and technological ideas into marketable products and businesses.

The council also works on cooperation agreements with Arab, regional, and international parties and represents the Kingdom in scientific and technological activities at various levels.
