About hdot.org
HDOT, created by Deborah E. Lipstadt and colleagues, is dedicated to providing access to materials from the Irving v. Lipstadt libel trial regarding Holocaust denial.
This joint project of Emory University and Emory’s Tam Institute for Jewish Studies aims to ensure perpetual access to evidence, transcripts, and documents refuting Holocaust deniers. The website also educates the public about the dangers of Holocaust denial. Lipstadt's book, "Denying the Holocaust," was a groundbreaking study that led to a legal battle with David Irving.
The subsequent trial affirmed Irving as a Holocaust denier, and a film, "Denial," recounts these events. Dr. Deborah E.
Lipstadt, a renowned historian, has been pivotal in Holocaust education. The HDOT project has been made possible by contributions from various foundations and individuals committed to combating Holocaust denial worldwide, making it a vital resource for truth and historical accuracy
