Head Heart Therapy is a group therapy practice specializing in the treatment of adults and adolescents struggling with shame, addiction, mood/anxiety disorders, and many other difficulties of life. We aim to increase our clients’ capacity for self-compassion, empowerment and efficacy by helping diminish unnecessary suffering. We use an eclectic variety of modalities to address the unique needs of each person who seeks our support, whether they stem from psychological, emotional or spiritual dis-ease.

About Head Heart Therapy
Head/Heart Therapy is a group therapy practice that specializes in helping adults and adolescents overcome various challenges of life, including shame, trauma, addiction, and mood/anxiety disorders. Their mission is to empower clients and increase their capacity for self-compassion, agency, and efficacy, ultimately reducing unnecessary suffering. Head/Heart Therapy offers a diverse range of therapeutic modalities tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, whether they are struggling with psychological, emotional, or spiritual issues.
Led by Sarah Buino, LCSW, CADC, CDWF, the founder of Head/Heart Therapy, the team is dedicated to creating a welcoming and authentic environment where clients can thrive and discover their own authenticity. The name Head/Heart Therapy was inspired by Sarah's personal tattoo, symbolizing the connection between the head and the heart. Located in Chicago, Head/Heart Therapy acknowledges the traditional homelands of the Council of Three Fires, the Ojibwe, Potawatomi, and Odawa, as well as the Menominee, Miami, and Ho-Chunk nations.
