Headrest is a non-profit organization based in Lebanon, NH, with a mission to provide assistance to individuals affected by substance use disorder, experiencing a crisis, or in need of support. Since its establishment in 1971, Headrest has been committed to offering effective programs and treatments. They not only provide support to clients but also extend their services to family members, friends, neighbors, and employers.

For those in recovery, Headrest offers various programs including Outpatient Counseling, Intensive Outpatient Counseling, and their Low-Intensity Residential Program, where the length of stay is determined by each client's treatment plan. They also have the Headrest Opportunities For Work (HOW) Vocational Program, helping clients secure and maintain living-wage jobs. Additionally, they provide the Headrest Recovery Friendly Workplace EAR (Employee Assistance Resource) Program, enabling employees to access a Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Headrest is dedicated to those in crisis as well, operating a 24/7 Crisis-Suicide Hotline that receives around 10,000 calls annually. They also offer programs such as the Impaired Driver Care Management Program (DUI School) and the Friends & Family Support Group. Their vision is to create a world where seeking help is free from shame.
