A London-based film and TV production company founded by Harry Richards and Rufus Love. Richards is a BFI-selected director best known for his short film SANTI and Love is an OFFIE-nominated writer. Their first film together, directed by Richards and written by Love, launched at the end of 2024: CONTACT HOURS is a 25-minute short film about student suicide, told through the eyes of a university caretaker struggling to connect with his son. The psychological drama stars Kris Hitchen (Ken Loach's SORRY WE MISSED YOU) and George Osborne (THE PENDRAGON CYCLE). The film won Best British Short at Sunrise Film Festival and Gold for Best Casting at the Shark Awards. It has received the following other accolades: Sunrise Film Festival - Nominee for Best Director & Break The Stigma Shark Awards - Shortlist for Best Short Film under 25 Minutes, Best Writing & Best Acting Performance Unrestricted View Film Festival – Official Selection & Nominee for Best Director British Short Film Awards - Longlist for Best British Director It has also received critical praise: "A searing short film" – The Independent "Very impressive and really absorbing" – Tim Robey, The Telegraph "Beautiful and affecting" – Douglas Greenwood, i-D "Nuanced and deeply human" – Chatter Headrush Films has its first feature film in funded development, titled YAMAS!. Following YAMAS!, the production company will be adapting Richards' short film SANTI into a 90-minute feature. There are further projects on the Headrush slate which the team plans to make in the future.
