Head Start Nutrition

Head Start Nutrition is a Brisbane-based paediatric nutrition practice led by Natasha McGregor, an Accredited Practising Dietitian, Accredited Nutritionist and feeding therapist. The practice supports children and families with nutrition concerns through consultations and feeding therapy, using a food-first approach focused on family needs and practical strategies for home.

Services address fussy or restrictive eating, problem feeding and ARFID, as well as nutrition concerns related to autism, ADHD, allergies and intolerances, IBS and IBD, constipation, diarrhoea, and tube feeding or weaning. Feeding therapy draws on SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) and responsive feeding principles, with support for parents and collaboration with other therapists, including occupational therapists, speech therapists and psychologists.

Head Start Nutrition also offers dietetic support to NDIS participants and can help families explore gut health, including referrals for Microba microbiome testing and individualised menu planning based on results. Consultations are available at clinics in Mt Gravatt East, Woolloongabba and Newmarket, with home visits arranged when needed.
