Healing H'Arts

Healing H’Arts Equestrian Center, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Union Springs, New York, dedicated to promoting physical and emotional wellness for people of all abilities. The center uses horses as a therapeutic tool, offering physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech pathology informed by the hippotherapy approach. Its programs draw on the horse’s movement to support participants’ physical and foundational skills in a safe, supportive, and inclusive setting.

Founded as a nonprofit in 2015, Healing H’Arts was created to make equine-assisted therapeutic services available throughout the year and accessible to rural communities without requiring insurance reimbursement. The organization serves people within approximately 50 miles of Union Springs, including communities around Auburn, Ithaca, and Skaneateles. It particularly welcomes underserved groups, including people with disabilities, low-income families, and members of diverse cultural, religious, and LGBTQ communities.

The center is supported by a seven-member board, a chief executive officer, and more than 45 volunteers.
