Health and Wellness Alliance

The Health and Wellness Alliance for Children is a coalition of community-based organizations with a mission to improve the health and well-being of children in Dallas and Collin counties. With a 20-year vision, their goal is to see every child achieve their greatest health, well-being, and potential. By using evidence-based strategies and the Collective Impact model, the Alliance focuses on specific issues that negatively affect children in the area, both within and outside of the hospital setting.

They leverage data to identify pressing social, emotional, and environmental factors and work towards creating new models of healthcare that can be adapted by other similar coalitions across the U. S. Recognizing the importance of understanding the whole child, the Alliance emphasizes the impact of various social and environmental factors on a child's well-being and works with these factors instead of around them.

Through their dedicated partners from various sectors, including social services, schools, hospitals, government, faith-based organizations, and donors, they aim to achieve their common goal of improving the health and well-being of children
