HealthEx is a community of passionate healthcare students and professionals dedicated to global health. As a Singapore-registered society, HealthEx was founded in 2009 (UEN No. T09SS0176L) with two main objectives in mind. Firstly, they strive to provide healthcare access to communities that lack it. Secondly, they aim to nurture a new generation of healthcare leaders who are committed to serving the international community.

HealthEx achieves these goals by organizing short-term mission trips to rural and marginalized communities in neighboring countries. These missions serve as a platform for participants to learn about global health, community development, and leadership. The organization values humility in service and learning, making an effort to understand and leverage the assets of each community they work with in order to support their long-term development.

To ensure the sustainability of their efforts, HealthEx collaborates closely with local NGOs and maintains an annual or bi-annual presence in the communities they serve. Healthcare professionals and students volunteer their time, and funding is acquired through self-contributions, grants, donations, and fundraising activities.
