About Health Justice Recovery
Health Justice Recovery Alliance is a statewide advocacy organization in Oregon that is fully dedicated to implementing Measure 110. This landmark law, known as the Drug Addiction Treatment & Recovery Act, decriminalizes personal possession of small amounts of all drugs and focuses on expanding access to addiction treatment and other health services. By treating substance use as a public health issue rather than criminalizing drug users, Measure 110 aims to address the ongoing multigenerational harms of the racist war on drugs and invest in community care.
The Alliance puts the needs of communities most impacted by the war on drugs at the forefront and believes that those with the most at stake should lead the way. With an initial investment of $302 million, Measure 110 supports overdose prevention, housing, peer support, harm reduction, and addiction recovery programs. By providing compassionate and community-centered paths to recovery, the Health Justice Recovery Alliance empowers Oregonians to live safe and healthy lives
