The Africa Center for Health Systems and Gender Justice (ACHGJ) is a women-led, philanthropic research, and advocacy group that is dedicated to promoting gender equality in Africa's health system. Our mission is to empower communities and advocate for inclusive policies that improve health outcomes and reduce disparities. We believe that quality and respectful healthcare should be accessible to all.

To achieve our goals, we employ a multifaceted approach that leverages available resources, generates new knowledge, and builds movements for change. We support grassroots organizations, generate knowledge through research and learning, and promote movement building for health systems and gender justice. At ACHGJ, we envision an Africa where everyone has the opportunity to lead healthy and fulfilling lives, free from discrimination and inequality based on gender.
