Healthy Canines

Healthy Canines, Inc. is a small, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping dogs in Georgia receive needed veterinary care. The organization provides financial assistance to eligible pet parents who struggle to afford treatment for a dog’s illness or injury, as well as prescribed medication and medical equipment. Its grant program focuses on low-income families and other applicants who meet its guidelines.

By helping ease the cost of veterinary care, Healthy Canines aims to keep dogs in safe, loving homes and reduce the risk that financial hardship will lead to abandonment, neglect, or surrender to a shelter. The nonprofit invites pet owners to learn about its approval process and apply for a grant. It also provides information and resources on financial assistance, Georgia animal rescue groups and shelters, low-cost vaccination and spay/neuter clinics, preventive care, and pet food banks. Donations support assistance for families facing veterinary expenses, and the organization states that 100% of each donation goes directly toward helping pets in need. Contributions are tax deductible.
