Healthy Child YYC

The Calgary Society for Healthy Child Development is a charitable organization founded in 1998 to help children grow up healthy and strong. Focused on the critical years from birth to age six, the Society works toward a vision in which all children achieve optimal development. It raises awareness among parents, grandparents, extended family members, and childcare providers about how they can support healthy childhood development.

The Society shares research-based information through its website and social media, alongside educational resources such as articles, question-and-answer content, and newborn guidance. It also raises funds to support Prime Time, a free parenting coaching and support program delivered by carya Calgary. Prime Time helps families experiencing significant stress or limited support build parenting skills and healthy family relationships. Coaches offer practical guidance to parents as they navigate their child’s early years and learn to meet their child’s needs.

Through public education and support for family services, the Calgary Society for Healthy Child Development aims to give families the information and assistance they need to help young children thrive.
