About HVN England
Hearing Voices Network (HVN) is a national charity that offers support and resources for individuals who hear voices, see visions, or have other unusual perceptions. Run mostly by volunteers, including trustees, HVN aims to raise awareness of the diversity of voices and visions, challenge stereotypes and discrimination, and create safe spaces for open dialogue about these experiences. They also strive to promote different ways to manage distressing voices, encourage a positive response to voice-hearing in healthcare settings and society, and connect individuals with available resources.
HVN shares valuable information and free resources through their website, social media channels, newsletter, and email service. They engage with the media to provide realistic and hopeful perspectives on hearing voices and related experiences. HVN offers workshops, training, and events (subject to resources) and supports members who wish to set up their own Hearing Voices Groups.
