About HEART Centre
HEART Centre Leeds is a vibrant and welcoming brand that aims to provide a space for people to meet, work, and play. With a focus on community, HEART thrives through the ideas and activities of its users. The brand is committed to reducing its environmental impact by incorporating energy-saving features and promoting reuse, recycling, and public transportation.
HEART is the flagship project of Headingley Development Trust, and it represents the culmination of a five-year dream to preserve a beloved old primary school building for community use. Since opening its doors in 2011, HEART has transformed the former Headingley Primary School into a hub for various activities, including business startups. It is a genuine community business that runs without any grant support and has been made possible by the personal financial investments of local residents.
