Heart of Lynchburg Midwifery

Heart of Lynchburg Midwifery, LLC provides community midwifery care to families in greater Lynchburg, Virginia. Its personalized, professional services support families from pre-conception through postpartum, with an emphasis on information, choice, and care shaped around each family’s preferences. The practice offers extended prenatal and postpartum visits in clients’ homes and at a family-friendly office, giving families time to ask questions, discuss options, and get to know their birth team.

Care follows the Midwives Model of Care® and is available for different birth plans. Families may choose evidence-based, instinct-guided labor and delivery care at home, give birth in a suite at Trillium House, Lynchburg’s freestanding birth center, or receive comprehensive prenatal care with a transfer to a trusted hospital provider for a planned hospital birth. The midwifery team aims to support and protect the environment families choose for welcoming their baby.
