About HEARTProject
HEART is an innovative EU-funded project under the Horizon 2020 initiative, designed to revolutionize how existing buildings operate through advanced energy efficiency solutions. Collaborating with 16 partners across 10 countries, HEART focuses on developing a unique toolkit that significantly reduces energy consumption—by as much as 90%—and enhances indoor comfort for users.
This project introduces cutting-edge components including a multifunctional prefabricated facade system, versatile photovoltaic tiles, and high-performance energy storage solutions. It also incorporates smart technologies such as direct current fan coils, advanced heat pumps, and a centralized cloud-based platform for efficient energy management.
HEART aims to facilitate the renovation of buildings in Central and Southern Europe, promoting not just architectural improvements but also environmentally responsible practices. Coordinated by the Politecnico di Milano, the project is committed to fostering sustainable living environments, making it a vital contributor to future energy efficiency advancements.
