Heateo Sihtasutus is an Estonian strategic philanthropy foundation that launches and grows initiatives addressing pressing social challenges. Its work focuses on education, mental and physical health, and children and parenting, with the broader aim of creating positive, lasting change in Estonian society. The foundation supports initiatives from early ideas through implementation and expansion, providing funding as well as practical expertise and time. It also connects social initiatives with supporters, volunteers and experienced professionals to help build effective, systemic solutions.
Heateo has helped launch and develop more than 100 initiatives. Its portfolio includes programmes and organisations working in areas such as cancer support, violence prevention, student wellbeing, teacher development, technology education and learning. The foundation also establishes dedicated funds, including the Heateo Impact Fund and Education Fund, to strengthen promising efforts. More than 100 experts contribute over 1,000 hours annually on a pro bono basis, while private-sector supporters have provided over four million euros. Through its programmes, partnerships, funds and community, Heateo helps promising ideas grow into meaningful social impact.
