Heat Pumps Watch

Heat Pumps Watch is an independent, non-partisan source of evidence-based information about heat pumps and the heating transition. Led by Dr. Marek Miara, whose work draws on 20 years of field research, the initiative aims to replace confusion and myths with reliable, accessible knowledge. Its 18-part “Burning Questions” series addresses common questions about heat pumps, presenting research findings and scientific perspectives in clear, user-friendly ways. The organization says it does not accept funding from the heat pump industry and emphasizes verifiable sources, transparent distinctions between facts, opinions, and simulations, and regularly updated information.

Heat Pumps Watch offers practical resources alongside its educational content. Its operating costs calculator lets users compare heat pump and gas heating costs based on their own circumstances. Publications include The Heating Transformation book and an infographic colouring book designed to explain key facts and figures. The site also shares news and insights on technology, research, and industry developments, and invites visitors to join its community for updates and expert tips.
