HECANSA

HECANSA, or Hoteles Escuela de Canarias, is a hospitality and tourism education provider in the Canary Islands. It combines classroom learning with practical experience through its own hotels and restaurants and partner companies, offering general and intensive dual vocational training. Intensive programmes can include paid workplace learning under a training contract. Its courses cover cooking, restaurant service, bakery and pastry, tourism accommodation management, and foundational vocational skills, alongside specialist courses and employment-focused training.

HECANSA operates hotel schools in Santa Brígida and Santa Cruz, as well as rural hotel schools at Casa de Los Camellos and Casa de Los Herrera, and Bistro Escuela Melenara. Its wider hospitality venues include restaurants such as Satautey, El Mirador de Santa Cruz, and Los Herrera. Students can access general scholarships, Erasmus+ overseas internship opportunities, guidance, and residence services. HECANSA also provides employment support through a placement agency focused on tourism and hospitality, with job listings, career advice, and assistance for people developing their own projects.
