Heesberg

Gestüt Heesberg is an Icelandic horse breeding and equestrian facility in Ehndorf, Schleswig-Holstein, near Aukrug Nature Park. Run by the Schulz family, the stud has bred Icelandic horses since 1994, producing around 10 to 15 foals each year from performance-tested foundation mares, many of them recognized as elite horses. The team trains its own horses and presents them at competitions.

Daniel C. Schulz and his daughter Mirja are members of the German national squad. Daniel and the homebred Spuni vom Heesberg have won the German Tölt T2 championship four consecutive times, from 2022 to 2025.

The modern riding grounds include an oval track, a pace track, a fenced dressage arena and a covered riding hall, alongside extensive pastureland. From April to October, Gestüt Heesberg hosts riding courses, foal shows, sporting competitions and other events; it has also hosted qualifying competitions for the World Championships and the 2020 German Icelandic Horse Championships
