Hegering Hilden is a local hunting and nature conservation community and part of the Düsseldorf-Mettmann District Hunting Association. It brings together hunters, nature enthusiasts and interested residents around responsible hunting, active conservation and respect for local wildlife and plants. Its work includes sustainable care of natural habitats, wildlife management and monitoring, and practical wildlife protection, including volunteer efforts to rescue animals during grass mowing. The group also reports on conservation projects and hunting activities, such as coordinated crow hunts.

Through its website, Hegering Hilden shares information on native wildlife, urban wildlife, hunting history, hunting terminology and routes to obtaining a hunting licence. Visitors can find news, event dates, articles, a gallery and downloadable resources, while members have access to a dedicated area. The association organises community events and invites people to take part in activities and learn more about its work. It also provides a directory of local hunters who offer regional game meat, enabling interested customers to contact providers directly.
