Heidi Goeritz

Heidi Göritz is a qualified archivist and historian offering research, transcription, and historical storytelling services for individuals and businesses. Drawing on her archival training and experience with historical documents, she helps clients explore family histories, trace ancestors, and find relevant records in churches, registry offices, libraries, archives, specialist databases, address books, passenger lists, census records, and local chronicles. She also transcribes old documents, including German cursive scripts such as Sütterlin and Kurrent, as well as Russian-language records, and can accompany clients during archive visits.

For family and personal history projects, Göritz helps record life stories through interviews, transcription, fact-checking, and editing, with the finished work shaped to the client’s preferred format. Her services for organizations include oral-history interviews with employees, written transcripts, corporate-history research, and history marketing. She can also help establish and organize company archives, research additional historical sources, and transcribe business records. In addition, she offers guidance in historical specialist fields such as heraldry, sphragistics, paleography, and numismatics.
