Heidi Lederle

Heidi Lederle is a ceramic artist and master-trained ceramic craftswoman offering hands-on pottery courses in Griesheim near Darmstadt. With many years of experience working with porcelain, she combines practical instruction with artistic guidance, helping participants develop their skills and create personal, one-of-a-kind pieces.

Courses take place in her studio and are offered individually or for two people, with two pottery wheels available. Beginners can learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing in a 2.5-hour Classic course, while more experienced participants can refine their technique in a three-hour advanced course. Couples, friends, and family members can book a shared three-hour session. An additional course teaches participants to decorate their work with sculptural details. Instruction covers the process from preparing porcelain through shaping and trimming, with space to explore individual ideas. Finished pieces are fired and are generally ready for collection after about four to six weeks.

Courses run Tuesday through Saturday, and many appointments can be booked online.
