Heidi Chowen

Heidi Chowen is a multidisciplinary fine artist based in Telluride, Colorado, working across encaustic mixed media and fine art photography. Her practice explores light, energy, and movement through different mediums, bringing together layered materials and imagery to create a deeper sense of connection. In her encaustic work, layers interact through the energy of fire and the delicate nature of the encaustic process, giving each piece a distinctive, tactile quality.

Photography forms another part of her artistic offering, extending her exploration of light and movement into a different visual medium. Chowen’s work is presented through her website, which features her encaustic mixed media, photography, and a new series. Visitors can learn more about the artist and her practice, view the work, and get in touch through the site.

A newsletter signup is also available for those who would like to receive updates and occasional notes from Heidi. Her brand brings together a clear sense of place and a multidisciplinary approach to contemporary fine art
