Heim

Heim is an association serving older people in the Karleby (Kokkola) region, with a mission to foster a sense of home, belonging and community. Its work is focused on making everyday life more enjoyable and socially connected for seniors. Heim offers rental apartments at Park & Plaza, along with services and activities designed for older residents and the wider senior community.

Its support includes elder support and practical guidance, while a varied programme of events creates opportunities to meet others and take part in shared interests. Activities listed include group exercise, gentle gymnastics, guided walks, music, reading, bingo, coffee gatherings and knitting cafés. Some events take place at Park & Plaza, while others are hosted in cooperation with locations such as Emeliehemmet.

Through its housing, support and community events, Heim brings together practical services and opportunities for social connection. The association also welcomes people interested in becoming members or volunteering, helping to strengthen a supportive community for older people in the region
