HeimatBonus is a local loyalty platform that connects residents, businesses, and cities through digital rewards. Its aim is to make neighborhood shopping more rewarding and help keep economic activity within the community. Residents can create a free account, find participating shops and local offers, and earn HeimatPoints when they shop. At checkout, they show a signed, short-lived, single-use QR code, which is scanned to credit points or redeem a reward. HeimatPoints can be used across participating partners, while points issued by an individual business remain with that business. A separate Green Bonus is also offered, with its own purpose and restrictions.

For local businesses, HeimatBonus provides tools to build customer loyalty and promote offers, including a dashboard for managing points, posts, team access, and customer insights. Cities can use the platform to support local economic networks. The service is growing from pilot locations in Hattingen and Leipzig.
