Heimattage Oberkirch 2026 is a year-long celebration presented by the city of Oberkirch, showcasing the history, culture, traditions and regional pleasures of the Renchtal. The event forms part of the Heimattage Baden-Württemberg, an annual program hosted by a different community or group of communities across the state. In 2026, Oberkirch marks several milestones, including 700 years of town rights, the 350th anniversary of Grimmelshausen’s death and 300 years of distilling rights.

The program brings together major festivals and smaller events. The Baden-Württemberg Day on 16 and 17 May features a trade and industry fair, markets, food, live entertainment and a distillers’ mile. Landesfesttage, held from 11 to 13 September, celebrate local customs and cultural heritage with a parade, children’s and traditions day, and an evening of traditional festivities. Across the year, visitors can also enjoy exhibitions, guided experiences, talks, tastings, concerts, theater, food and wine events, cycling and walking activities.
