Hekk'n Sluuters

Carnavalsvereniging de Hekk’n Sluuters is a carnival association based in Nieuw Heeten, the Netherlands. Founded through the initiative of members of the local youth association Joverni and other carnival enthusiasts, the group set out to give the village its own carnival celebration. Its traditions include appointing a Prince and a Council of Eleven, helping make the annual festivities a larger community event.

The association organizes activities throughout the year, including carnival celebrations, a Prinsenbal, a Bouwvakfeest and cycling or walking bingo events. Its calendar also features gatherings such as a brunch, while news, event schedules and updates help members and visitors stay informed. The association introduces its current carnival Prince, Jim de 1e for 2025/2026, and shares information about past Princes, members and events through its website and social media.

Local sponsors support the association’s activities, and businesses can apply to become sponsors and gain visibility within the organization. With its events, traditions and community partnerships, de Hekk’n Sluuters brings residents together around carnival and local festivities.
