This organization represents a network of approximately 300,000 certified forest owners committed to protecting biodiversity and ensuring the vitality of forest ecosystems. The core mission is to promote integrated forest protection, prevent tree damage, and continuously replant trees to maintain and enhance forest areas for future generations. PEFC emphasizes the importance of diverse habitats by establishing mixed forests with native tree species, using certified non-GMO seeds, and maintaining natural biotopes.

In addition to promoting ecological health, PEFC supports the well-being of forest workers by providing training and fostering a responsible work environment.
