Held to Heal

Held to Heal is a women’s health and pelvic floor physiotherapy practice founded by Laura, a women’s health physiotherapist and Reconnected Birthing Practitioner. Based in Darwin, the practice supports women through pregnancy, birth and postpartum recovery, with in-person appointments in Darwin and online services available across Australia.

Its services include women’s health physiotherapy for concerns such as urinary leakage, prolapse, pelvic pain, abdominal separation and postpartum recovery. Held to Heal also offers birth debriefing for women processing a birth experience, and birth preparation to help clients feel informed and grounded. Laura combines physiotherapy with somatic approaches involving body awareness and breath, as well as systemic tools such as visualisation and role play. The practice aims to consider both physical and emotional experiences, offering time to discuss each client’s story and develop a personalised path forward.
